I've shot a lot from the iPhone recently. It occured to me yesterday that this camera can physically get into positions that the large DSLR can't. In this shot, the lens and sensor are right at the keyboard edge. I don't think I could get that close otherwise. Another nice thing about the small sensor is a greater depth-of-field. I'd estimate it's at least a couple of inches in this picture.
The picture was take with Camera+ which has a great camera stabilzer. A few minor tweaks were made to the histogram in Photogene2. And the effect, 'More Wang', was applied using SmugMugs 'Camera Awesome'... all iPhone apps.
This is Percy, the greyhound. He's always sticking his nose into my depth-of-field.

Another example of the iPhone camera's ability to get into locations that the SLR can't. I've been thinking about doing this shot for some time. In fact, I tried it before with the 5DMII and failed. This worked well, managing to capture the sides leading in.

Ellen has been working on this design for the top of her summer camp trunk. Today it is complete!! She strated with a sketch, and, using that, created this wonderfully imaginative decorative pattern with just a silver Sharpie marker.
